Terms of Service

3.1 Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for:

• Providing truthful and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent behavior, or abuse the Service.

4.1 Free Tier

Free users receive a limited number of transcript extractions per day. Anonymous users are limited to 3 transcript extractions per 24-hour period. Free accounts have limited access to AI features and transcript history is retained for 7 days.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel your subscription.

4.3 "Unlimited" Plans and Fair Use

Certain subscription tiers may be marketed as "unlimited" or "unmetered." These terms refer to the removal of specific numerical limits for normal, personal or business use. "Unlimited" does not mean infinite or unrestricted use and is subject to the following fair use guidelines:

• Usage must be consistent with normal human consumption patterns for individual or small team use
• The Service may not be used to operate a competing transcription service or as a white-label solution
• Excessive usage that negatively impacts Service performance for other users may be throttled or restricted
• We reserve the right to contact users with unusually high usage to discuss appropriate plan options

We reserve the right to modify or revoke access for accounts that abuse "unlimited" offerings in ways inconsistent with reasonable personal or business use.

4.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access will continue until the end of your current billing period. Subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

6.1 Prohibited Automation

The Service is designed for interactive human use. The following automated activities are strictly prohibited:

• Using bots, scripts, scrapers, or other automated tools to access the Service
• Programmatic or API-style access without explicit written authorization
• Browser automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Puppeteer, Playwright) to interact with the Service
• Automated submission of URLs or bulk processing requests
• Integration of the Service into automated workflows or pipelines without authorization
• Any method designed to circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions

6.2 Detection and Enforcement

We actively monitor for automated access patterns and reserve the right to:

• Immediately suspend or terminate accounts engaged in automated access without notice
• Block IP addresses, devices, or networks associated with automated activity
• Withhold refunds for accounts terminated due to automation violations
• Pursue legal remedies for damages caused by unauthorized automated access

6.3 Enterprise and API Access

Organizations requiring programmatic access, bulk processing, or integration capabilities should contact us to discuss enterprise licensing options. Unauthorized automation is not a substitute for proper licensing arrangements.

7.1 Service Ownership

The Service, including its design, code, features, and functionality, is owned by YTScribe.ai and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to extract and use transcripts from YouTube videos. YTScribe.ai does not claim ownership of extracted transcripts or underlying video content.

9.1 As-Is Service

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

9.2 Transcript Quality

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of extracted transcripts. Transcript availability and quality depend on YouTube's caption systems, which are beyond our control.
